Case Studies
Handcross Feng Shui Garden Project
The basis of the project was to remove all of the old Karma to create harmony and balance. There were many hours spent in consultation with the customer to make sure every detail was included. This project involved around 70 tonnes of waste removal before we could even start Landscaping. Once the garden was stripped back to it’s bare bones we were then able to construct the framework of the Feng Shui garden. Where ever we could we used natural materials that were sympathetic to the immediate environment. The Dry-Stone Wall, Oak bench and true Slate patio and Pathway were all sourced locally as was the Organic Sussex Blend Soil. Click here for project details. Click here for project details.
Block Paving
This project involved extensive excavation to start with to determine the final levels. Once the levels were agreed upon we could start building the retaining edges / walls to frame the Block Paving. This kind of excavation and terracing is very typical of Lewes. Click here for project details.
Brick Work
Brick Work is literally one of the basic techniques a Landscape Gardener must possess. Wether it’s starting from the foundations up, extending an existing wall, Block Work or even repairs. This particular project was to extend an existing wall at a Church in Burgess Hill. Click here for project Details.
Decking
Decking is a great way to introduce a softer and warming material into a sometimes hard landscaped environment. Weather you use the Grooved side or the Smooth side of the Decking is entirely up to you. The nice thing about decking is that it generally comes ‘Treated’ so you can leave it it’s natural colour or stain it to a colour of your choice. Decking can create a Contemporary environment or compliment older more traditional materials at the same time. Click here for project details.
Closed Board Fencing
Close Board Fencing is a sure way of defining the boundaries of your garden. Weather it’s to keep out noise pollution, security or safety for your children. Close Board Fencing is very strong. Once installed correctly can last for many many years. All timbers are ‘Treated’ to help prevent rotting. Click here for project details.
Raised Vegetable Bed
Last year saw anincrease in Raised Vegetable Beds to date for Lewes Landscapers. As we are becoming ever more aware of our environment, Carbon Footprint or feeding ourselves with Organic produce this way of growing will only increase. Generally reasonably simple to install, it just depends on how large you want it or what materials you would like to use. New Oak Railway Sleepers is a favorite, or if precision is what your after then a Pine Railway Sleeper with it’s laser cut edges might do it for you. Click here for project details.
Seaford Garden Project
A complete garden project carried out in Seaford early 2009. This project took around 3 weeks to complete. From Digger to Planting was immensely satisfying. There were many smaller complicated projects rolled into one. From Block Paving, Raised Vegetable Beds, Cascading Water Fall to a complicated planting design. Click here for project details.
